Does anyone know what the anti-tarnisihg agent is in the Presidential Dollar coins? Is it a chemical compound mixed in with the metal? Is it a coating on the coins themselves. If it's a chemical, what kind of chemical. I wonder about the safety. Maybe ND86 knows.

It will be a special coin lacquer that will be applied to the coins so that they don't tarnish or discolour like the early issues of the Sacagawea $1 coins.
