Another web store question ?

    Can coin folders be shipped media mail ?

    Probabaly have more as I expand the website

    They can be, but I found they are not any cheaper and generally take twice as long.

    No, they can't, legally. USPS is really cracking down on the improper use of Media Mail. Not only do you risk confiscation, you go on "the list," and you never get off; it's like getting on the State sales tax list.

    I doubt if you save any money, either. Coin folders would go "first class mail package" since they end up over 1/4 inch thick. The minimum charge for Media Mail is $2.38 (in 2011), perhaps more now.

    • Films that are 16-millimeter or narrower (yes, that includes your VHS videotapes)
    • Printed Sheet Music
    • Sound Recordings

    • Computer-readable media containing prerecorded information and guides or scripts prepared solely for use with such media (i.e. NOT computer software)
    • DVDs & CDs (NOT including computer software)
