Cardboard is better if you want them to tone. Non PVC flips will keep your coins well preserved. The cardboard holders you are referring to are the Whitman type, I assume, and those only allow you to view one side of the coin. Again cardboard will tone the coin over time...years. Allen
the flips are the ones that fold over and have two openings the cardboard are the ones with staples and you can write on thrm
OK. I just realized your talking about the clear plastic flips that don't seal, right. They are OK if they don't contain PVC. I don't like them because I'm always afraid the coin will fall out when I go to remove the coin. Allen
thanks for the info....im gonna put them in there and into sleeves and in abinder...they will never come out... are the flips better or the stapled cardboard?
IMHO no because I don't like the look. I can't see an advantage of the flip over the cardboard 2X2 except for the fact that the coin can be remove without destroying the flip. Now, what are your opinions of this storage/display device???
something thats cheap yet nice....i can get a binder flips(or cardboard) and sleeves for $15 shipped..which is all i have to spend right now
I forget not everyone lives near coin shops or has access to supplies like I do. Good luck with your project. Have fun! Allen
