Here is another old token I purchased not long ago. I have been looking for info on it but so far nothing. Just wondered if anyone had any idea what it was for or what it was worth. It has about a 90 degree rotaion. Thanks for any help.

My WAG is some kind of transportation token - subway, bus, etc.

It's a transportation token and quite scarce. These were mostly struck over
abraded large cents according to the catalog.

It lists at $35 but this can be most misleding since these tokens can sell for widely
disparate multiples of catalog dependent on the state of issue and the number of
collectors actively seeking it. The bad news is that WV is pretty slow in recent times
but older tokens can bring more. It would probably sell at a well attended auction
    for $70 to $100.

Thanks for the info. I purchased it about 30 miles form Wheeling WV and it is the first one I have ever saw. I have been checking to see if any were ever listed on Ebay but am yet to see one.
    Thanks again,

Generally when they list for this kind of money in the catalog they are
so rare that they'll not show up on eBay. The average survivorship of
this one and the numerous similar ones is quite likely fewer than 10.

It's really a pretty special token. Let me know if you want to sell cheap. ;)
