Well, i just found this one a couple of weeks ago and just now got it in the mail a very good find Series 461 $10 in 65EPQ its the finest in either registry PCGS or PMG though There is two grades higher at PMG, there are only 64,s at PCGS and will be sending this One in for recertification the only reason is i hit gold and found a 66 last night go figure A top pop 65 at PCGS is worth about $3,000 and i only have $450 in the note
Yes you would send it in just like any other, since PCGS and PMG grading criteria Is basically the same you can usually cross over 9 out of ten times, i have crossed Over several and have had no issues to date
This seems to have little to do with collecting anything, and everything to do with some arcane form of TPG roulette. It's the same note, whatever happens to it. Emperor's new clothes comes to mind. I feel I am the child in the crowd saying "Daddy, why is he naked?"
You are not. Anyone with an understanding of the MPC market knows how true your sentiments really are.
Unfortunately you do not understand the people involved and the registry process as With most TPG haters !! you basically have two premier grading services PCGS and PMG a notes value can differ greatly because of the population or the lack there of Even though there is 1-67, 6-66 and 4-65 at last check at PMG, there are only 9 -64,s at PCGS with nothing higher so obviously that note is going to be worth a substantially more in a PCGS holder, allot more $3,000 and up! versus the same Note in a PMG holder around $450 even though it is the same note, take it from someone who knows and currently has 3 top sets at PCGS !!, i know what iam talking about

Maybe that,s a geographical thing ? Over my way iam having no trouble selling My seconds and upgrades for a good profit, maybe this is a raw issue, still doing Good with the TPG,S have another group coming in from PMG with in a few days
Where are you getting that $3,000 price from Rusty ? These two sold a year ago for $376 (consecutive pair) . https://currency.ha.com/itm/militar...3537-23225.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
It is artificial because it is based on a false premise. It is based solely on the number of notes graded by each TPG not on the number of notes. The number of graded MPC is a fraction of those available. I have seen more raw 461 $10.00 UNC notes than there are in the 64+ grades in the combined pop reports. How much is your top pop going to be worth when it is joined by 5 more in the next two years? You are right, it has a place. If you are looking for quick profit, take it and go. Holding long term is not going to produce any greater return.
I would have to ask Steve are you familiar with how a registry works ? as i explained in my previous post, im bringing the note over from PMG to PCGS where there currently is none higher then a 64, a 65 at PCGS would be considered A top pop note and therefore would demand a substantial price increase over The PMG label that it is in now because there is more and in a higher grade, thought I went over this pretty well on the last post
by the way those are 64,s in a PMG holder so the value would be far less, im talking about about a 65 in a PCGS holder
So, in other words, it's your best guess. Rusty, you sound defensive.....don't take our opinions personally. They are just our opinions, and if they are different than yours, so be it.
