Also in the box with the Franklin Halves was a roll of junk Walking Liberty Half Dollars. Again, all the coins were clean except from circulation. No deep cuts, no graffiti and no deliberate damage. I like junk coins like this.

The best coin was a 1937-S along with a 1934-S. 60% from the forties and 40% from the thirties. I'll take that. :)

The 1934-S has a mintage of 3,652,000 and the 1937-S is at 2,090,000. I doubt you'll find them in a roll of junk value Walkers today. This sure made my day.

@Collecting Nut These are not junk coins. They are exactly like the ones in my collection. The ones that I picked up in change when I was a kid. They may even be better than some of mine. But, I can't make myself upgrade any. I like working coins as found.

What a lovely surprise. Nice coins.
I was surprised also when I opened your post, as your cunningly cryptic title had me thinking along other lines, well done

I feel the same way but I paid junk price for them according to the invoice, which was from an online coin dealer.

2012 was the invoice date. I bought $10 face of junk silver, Walkers and Franklin's (in a separate thread). Both rolls were clean, no graffiti or scratches. Just circulation wear but nothing serious. A nice mix of dates and mintmarks. You don't find junk silver like this today. :)
