Thanks for showing us. I would say its MS-62 or 63. However, my guess is that ANACS gave it MS-64 due to the CC bump. What was the ANACS grade?
Very nice Morgan. I personally grade it 62 maybe have a chance at 63, but wouldn't surprise me if Anacs bumped it a 64. Very nice Morgan. Phoenix
Despite the fact that it is a CC, I personally feel that that coin is a marginal 62. The cheek is just too chewed up for me to go higher.
anacs called it a 63...one of my early purchases which i wouldn't repurchase..my tastes have refined...price wise i got it for $160 total so not hurt terribly...plus cc's are always popular and it does have a cool die crack...candidate for upgrade in set but will do for now!! i'm sure that collectors all refine their tastes when they specialize in a set...nothing like looking at multi 1000's of coins of same series plus reading and research...to let you hone in on what is a nice coin for the grade>
Nice Morgan!!! I'd like to have me a few more CC's... I think I only one I have is a raw 1891 CC in VF to XF at best... A bit of a beater coin compared to ones posted here...
Maybe I have lost more faith in the new ANACS holders than I should have. I keep assuming that they have every coin severly overgraded....lol.
