I was thinking of burring a silver dime, Steel Penny, Silver Half, and copper cent, To hone my metal detector skills. I was nice and warm snow melted and the ground almost warmed enough then it got cold real cold and we got 8" of snow, But anyways any one here ever done this? Can you bury them in air tights? Or would that effect the depth or something? All I am able to find here are newer coins. Heck my brothers used to have coin fights in the 60's so there has to be more I just have to figure out what to listen for I guess. THANKS JON
Is that not the best place to look In the Sand, In the grave yard my family is in its a nice country road with about 1000 graves maybe, I always wondered about the back roe where the civil war vets are if anyone burried anything good like civil war error stuff on top or just under the sand a foot or less? But that would be kinda strange to do. Unless I take a Digital recorder and got permission from the man? Probably e legal 2 But so are my couple of guns since the vote this week. Not assault type just clips with more than 7 shells!!! But thats a nother Rant!!!!!
Why use high quality coins that you would need to secure in an air-tight? Have somebody hide junk coins and try to find them. P.S. If you do go metal detecting at a cemetery, make sure to only stay in the parking lot. But if you happen to wonder off, don't go within one foot of the stone. Thanks
