Last week, I posted a newp of a 1921 O/C Cent. Here's a 1917 Cent I picked up a year or so ago at a local [ Ft Myers, FL ] coin show. My Dad was born in 1917 ... so this coin has some meaning to me:
Thanks, I have rarely seen an error coin with two types of errors on one coin; when I saw the date, I knew I had to buy it. I tried to contain my inner excitement from the dealer - and asked what he could do on the price. I think he came down $50 or so - which was an added bonus.
I thought the same thing. Grading errors seems to always be a pot-shot, but I guess the wheat ears killed it from being graded higher.
Yes, I have to admit, it is a great picture. I have Todd Pollock of BluCCphotos to thank for the image.
I was able to pick up a couple more 1917 Lincoln errors... 1917-D PCGS 64 1917-S NGC 63 It seems as if was easier to locate the O/C's than regular issues.
