What is the weight in silver in pre-1964 coins. Before we start I know they are 90% silver, but how many Halve dollars, quarters, etc. to make an oz. of silver?

Noost thanks vey much for that info. I was wondering I got a 1962 proof set on ebay a couple of weeks ago for $8.00 & $2.00 S&H. I didn't need it but it was so cheap i bought it for the silver.

Wowsa! Great pickup! If the Franklin is in any kind of decent shape, that coin alone justifies the price!

All the coins look great, I have been reading the coin collectors survival guide and I am not real clear yet on what good bell lines really are. I know the principal, but have not seem an extreme example in any of my Benji's yet!!! I have been buying any of the 1960-63 proof sets that I can get for under $15.00. Mainly because I like the Franklins. I have a complete set of the last 50 years of both proof and mint sets and now I am filling in stagglers like some of the Ikes that weren't in the sets, and the mint coins from 1982, and 83. Tried bidding on the souvineir sets but they are through the roof. So i decided to pick these coins up individually and have had much more luck!!!:whistle:

I don't think the FBL annotation applies to proof coins.
