Another Half Dollar to Grade

    Next up, another 1938 D. Like the other I did it on a flatbed scanner. So I'm wondering if takes away from the eye appeal. Opinions, grading thoughts welcome.

    my first thought was F-15

    I'll fence straddle between F15 and VF 20.

    I don't think it would quite make VF from those pics. I think you're right though, coins don't look quite as good in scans.

    didnt i post on a coin just like this? anyway F15 if i were to see it in hand maybe vf20.

    Thanks for taking a look and offering up your opinoins. Was looking lower VF myself. A dealer that I had look at it felt the same. Thanks for chiming in!

    Hard to see much luster there maybe because of the scanner lighting
    Looks in the VF range to me :)
