I'm not sure how to do overlays, but in looking at this coin over and over (maybe too much), it looks like the mark next to the 7 and the mark next to that could be inverted designs from the obverse of the coin - where the two dates are seperated by that little line or dash. Look at the 1789-1797 (pic 1) and then the line next to the beginning of the 7, the dash and the mark next to that. Anybody see it? Also, there's an extra "E" on another coin just before the WE. It now reads "IN GOD EWE TRUST"
