Another Greek 400-350 BC "Mini Coin"

    I seem to be accumulating quite a few of these fractional staters lately and here is the latest.
    Each of these ancient city-states had a generic design or two that was unique to them,usually consisting of a deity on the obverse,and something from nature on the reverse along with the name of the city.
    Thourioi,Lucania in Italy used either the head of Apollo or Athena and a butting bull.
    The date of it's minting places it on page #1 in my ancient albums.:)

    Vary nice. You’re making me feel bad though. I haven’t gotten a new ancient in a while. :mad:

    Now that's neat. If you ever get a chance I'm sure many here would love to see your collection on display. Only if you have some shots you'd care to share that is.

    Nice one. It still amazes me sometimes that we can get coins that old for very reasonable prices (and so many of them in close to perfect condition).
