Here's another gold coin pendant for sale on feebay, personally I think they would probably sell better on craigslist but either way it's probably a hard sell, for sure. This one is from Venezuela and most likely made in the 1950's/ 60's as that's when these 16th century Sorocaima Indian Chiefs were honored with these Medals. Many of them were minted in Switzerland but some were made in Caracas as well. The smaller size ones are gold Tokens. Since gold is so expensive now, and the world is no longer as innocent as it was in the 1960's what could someone do with a gold brooch? I mean a lady could wear one, maybe to a family reunion or something but it certainly wouldn't be a smart idea to bling away like it's Alpaca or Silver, not today anyways! Just wondering as I saw one I really wanted and I'm still thinking about it. I guess what I'm asking here is sometimes things go out of style only to come back in style years later. You think that will happen with gold coin brooches? Anyone here own one, I mean a similar one?
