I reported to eBay as a fake already, but after longer examination, I'm not sure it isn't real. I thought I saw many raised dots in the fields, and jumped quickly to the conclusion that it was cast, but now think I jumped the gun. Will contact eBay and indicate it is no longer a questionable coin in my mind. Don't want to harm an innocent seller. (Edited - see msg #6)
Yikes, that one looks good to me. I feel like I am decent at spotting the fakes, so that scares me. What is the thing that makes you think this one is fake?
Retraction . . . I thought I was looking at pimples from casting on the obverse, and mushiness of the initials BLP. Longer study of the photos has me thinking otherwise. My hastiness to tag this coin as another forgery on eBay is a glaring example of why CT probably should not have a formal reporting mechanism for forgeries. With tail between my legs, I'm going to soften the content of my original post, and ask the moderators to delete this thread, if it seems appropriate.
I was going to say, if this one is a fake, it is the best I have seen, and I have seen some good ones.

I admire you saying you were mistaken and asking the link pulled. Many, if later understand how they were wrong, would just walk away without further comment. Too many people on the internet refuse to acknowledge their errors, and I respect you for not taking that common course.
We don't have one. Yes there is a link for reporting fakes but it was an ebay link not CT, and it is no longer active. The report still goes out, but there is no longer anyone at the other end.
