The first one I would agree is a squeexed job---it just doesn't look right.
On the clashed die coin it also looks funny---I know sooo little about errors but it looks more like a flip over strike than a clashed die error....

    error coin in question

I believe a flip over would show the reverse image on the obverse side and visa versa. It could be a misaligned die stike (MAD) which leaves the image reversed or mirrored.

would this coin be worth investing in? It looks almost fake to me!

It is a fake error. The lettering is reversed and incuse on both sides and the "off center strike" came after the regular strike. In order for this "error" to actually occur in the mint, the regular strike quarter would have to get sandwiched between two other already struck quarters that are perfectly in alignment with no rotation between them, and those two coins would have to have been in the coining chamber and then the three coin sandwich struck by the dies

Both quarters are squeeze jobs. The same individual is also selling a fake double-struck 1999 cent, with the second strike administered by a fake die.

Thanks ya'll. How are sellers allowed to do this on ebay,,,,and most of all......how do they maintain decent feedback rateings. Some will even say they pulled them from an original roll,,,,like some of them would even fit into a roll. Guess we need to watch closely. Thanks again folks and have an awesome week-end. Doug
