Picked up this nice AU50-55 for my collection This 1757 Holland is rated R.- R.1 ( Not Common - Rare) by Delmonte Another interesting fact about this coin; it is exactly 200 years older than I am !!!!
Here's a different photo angle/setup with a little larger photos. The coin does have some nice lustre hidden within the crevices/edges of the devices. This ducat is a common "type", but uncommon "mint year" , at an uncommon "fair price" in today's market.
Nice...AU though ? These are normally graded on pretty high standards ! I guess American AU is continental EF...
Jerome, From my experience it seems so ... the majority of the time they are AU or low end MS. Depends on the European dealer/auction house's grading standards.
What a great coin! Congratulations on acquiring a very nice piece for your collection. I love the soldier on the obverse.
