Hello again. Here is another coin which I am having trouble identifing. It was given to me as a set of coins from Iran, but I can't find it listed in Krause in the Iran section. It is a very thin coin, and the stamping is slightly off center. Perhaps it is a token of some sort and not a coin. The date is 1339, but this is obviously not an AD date, maybe AH or SH? Thanks in advance.
It kind of looks like a Romulan Quaatluu. Sorry, couldn't resist, I am not a non-american coin expert, but there are some lurking here.
Sehkmet22,the date is SH1339 (1959).I think that this piece is one of those Iranian Now Ruz (Persian New Year) tokens.I can't say with certainty,as I can't read either Arabic or Farsi (which this looks like). Aidan.
