This coin popped out at me and looks like one I saw graded front and back. I did look on cherry pickers and coneca. I think I see enough worth getting you all to chime in please. Thanks for any help
I think you might be confusing your coin with the 1995-P Doubled Die. Your coin is from Denver - and the doubling you see in the date is probably 'split line doubling' - the copper plating shifts a little bit under the striking pressure of about 65 tons. I Don't see any doubling anywhere else.
Well well. I thought it would be something along those lines. Just didn't know for sure what was causing it. Separate question but similar topic. I have several pennies that look like they have a ring of extra metal on the face of the coin but only like a 1/16 in from edge. Just under bust almost like this coin but you can definitely tell its extra metal. What causes that ? I will find example and post when I can.
New Collector Rick - sounds like either a worn or overused die, which is the same as die deterioration.
I was looking at the 1995-D ddo. I wasn't confusing it with the 1995 ddo. What really got me was the coin I used as my example as well as coneca both had the line under the bust and the 5 on the date definitely has a raised 5 under the one there tilted to maybe 10 o'clock counter clockwise. I have coin with me so ill get loupe out and try and zoom so you can see what I'm talking about. Not saying anyone is wrong and I'm right by any means. Just want to understand what I'm looking at on this one.
