Andrew Johnson MEL error?

    Photos are not good enough to tell if the edge has been altered.

    From what I see, the edge has
    been buffedoff.

    On a true MEL, the copper core is
    NOT centered, it's slightly more
    to either the obv. or rev. side of the
    coin, not centered.

    This is due to how the planchets are punched
    out and then received the upset rim;

    The copper core is centered, as logic would
    have, but due to the upsetting, the copper
    core shows more to one side of the edge than
    the other.

    In this photo shown, the copper core band
    is wider, and dead-centered. It's been buffed.
