... @arnoldoe! (Entry requirement was to give a correct ID from the group photo of my big miscellaneous lot, or neat new-to-me info on one of the coins. See this linked thread for details.) Congrats, arnoldoe! He picked the coin he wanted from the lot via private message, and he went for the antoninianus of Vabalathus and Aurelian: This is the first time he's won something on CoinTalk, and this is my first giveaway... and we are both Canucks! There's a nice symmetry there, no? or something? Anyway, I'm pleased to be able to send this to him as a sort of extra non-secret Saturnalia present. Coin on, everyone!! And do go check out the thread if you didn't follow it. There's an especially cool revelation near the end... a coin I thought was a dud turned out to be, well, definitely not a beauty, but certainly a gem! Thanks to both @zumbly and @Valentinian for making that happen. Also a special thanks to @maridvnvm and @gsimonel, who were both extremely helpful and very impressive in the ID game!
Congratulations @arnoldoe, Many thanks to @Severus Alexander for setting this up. This was a fun event. That was a fantastic batch of coins and I had fun trying to narrow things down from part information. It is surprising how accurate you can get with only a little information and a little knowledge.
