The seller of the two city commemoratives very generously sent me this one as an extra and wrote what I used as the title thread on the piece of paper that came with it. Love the detail on the coin and I think it's an attractive example of Constantius II before he became Augustus. Later turned out to be an unlisted variety of Rome mint! Constantius II as Caesar Obv: FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right Rev: GLOR-IA EXERC-ITVS, two soldiers holding spears and shields, two standards between them, RBS in ex, Rome mint RIC VII Rome 337v (unlisted officina) (click to enlarge)
Cool freebie!! ... => man, ya gotta love it when a seller tosses-in a bonus coin, eh? (it is actually extremely clever, for I'm betting that gesture will increase your chances of buying more coins from this dude in the future, right?)
