I didn't have a Titus, so when I saw this nasty ol' coin with an ox thrown-in, I pulled the trigger!!

Ahhhhh man, it feels good to break the three week wagon-stint!!

    PHOENICIA, Berytus. Titus. Æ23
    AD 79-81
    Diameter: 23 mm
    Weight: 13.28 grams
    Obverse: Bare head left
Reverse: Founder plowing right with ox and cow
Reference: Cf. Sawaya 511 (D87/R? [uncertain rev. die]); RPC II 2045
Other: 12h … Near VF, dark brown patina.
From the Harry N. Sneh Collection. Ex Garth R. Drewry Collection

Yah, I know that this coin is a bit rough ... but it was winking at me, plus the price was right, so I just couldn't resist this new ox-buddy!!

    ;)

    Steve,
That's a good, strong protrait. A very nice coin all round with a decent pedigree. What's not to like?

Great portrait. Love the color too.

My lowly titus that I would upgrade to a better grade if the price was right. Sadly there hasnt been any in my budget :/ Still a OK type though.

Personally, I think it's a great coin. The Guy Fieri hair is great.

Shoot the wheels on my wagon almost fall off every time I go onto a website that sells coins.

I am a big fan of Titus. I wouldn't even call this bottom feeding that coin is near top feeding for me!
