Hi gang ... hey, I am merely wanting to verify this lil' baby's ID => any ideas? Here are a couple more clues: => AE10, Diameter: 10 mmm, Weight: 1.4 grams ... bad seller photos, combined with awful stevex photos (enjoy the love!!)
c'mon man, I know that you dudes have sharper skilz than these!! Yah, I can also hear Doug stating "Hey, some of us don't stay on line all day long, so give it a chance" ........ man, that Doug guy is awesome, eh? ... either way ... I also know that some of you seem to think these thingies are kinda like "puzzles" ... so I'd be super happy if one or more of you puzzlers solved this lil' riddle (honestly, after 10 hours of research I came-up with): Obverse: Lucy Van Pelt Reverse: Goofy, with some weird letters above
Boione, Aeolis. 320-280 BC. Obv.: Head of female right. Rev.: BOIΩNI above bull standing right. SNG Cop 29; SNG von Aulock 7678
I usually only give this award to Doug ... but JA, mmmmm, today you're the man!! .... well done, coin-brother (you verified my previous ID) ... => Thanks, I really appreciate your efforts
Really? Or are you just pulling my leg? It was a wild guess based on the style of the head and bull. I can't make out the letters, but BOIΩNI looks like it could fit into the chicken scratches that I can see.
Curious ... did my efforts to re-photograph this humble coin help (at all?) ... God ... I did so well in my Grade-Twelve elective class => "photography" (but man, apparently you dudes would have skewed the ol' bell-curve!!) Thanks again bro
=> honestly, it was "identical" ... I actually thought you had cheated and went onto one of my old threads!! (so thanks => if you really did come-up with this ID independently, then it is now carved-in-stone) => you rock (I appreciate your love of puzzles!!)
Steve, those pics would be fine except they're out of focus. Use the macro (close-up) setting on your camera.
This coin is cool enough, ummm but really, it kinda sucks a bit, right? Yah, the funny/horrible thing about this coin is ... => I paid/won this coin for "$10" on ebay ..... $50 delivery!! (seriously?) anyway, that was a valuable lesson learned (so now I have this coin listed as $60 ... is that wrong?) arrrggghhh ... now I'm mad thinking back on it (oh well ... happy-place, happy-place, happy-place)
I wouldn't have accepted a $50 shipping fee. I would have told the seller to go screw himself. Sellers can't leave buyers negative feedback.
50 dollars shipping? did you intend to buy a 60 dollar coin stevex, or did you buy a 10 dollar coin and forget to look at the shipping cost...assuming it would be reasonable.
=> "b" *sigh* ... oh, but I bought this coin a couple of years ago (I was merely wanting some reassurance) ... I'd never felt too confident bout the ID until you verified it earlier today ... I don't fall for those nasty shipping-tricks anymore (lesson learned, my coin-friend) thanks again
Its a coin with a lady and a horse on the... oh wait JA Id'ed it already? Yeah, I always check the shipping charges when buying. One habit of mine is to buy at least two items at once to save on s/h. unless its free shipping.
I agree ........ oh, and again, I bought this coin a few years ago (lesson learned) => but you're 100% correct (always check the shipping and the return policy!!)
