I purchased this interesting lil' silver bobble from my favourite seller (coin-friend) last night ... I have always noticed it while I've riffled-through his other examples, but until last night I'd never really given it a second-glance ...

... but for whatever reason, the coin leapt-out at me!!

The sweet wolf-reverse is obviously within my go-to coin-wheelhouse (man, ya gotta love dem animal coins!!) .... but last night, the kinda weird abstract obverse of Baal was also grabbing my attention, ya know?

Okay sure, maybe I'd prefer a more artistically honed obverse, but for some strange reason this almost Celtic-like imitative version was just what the coin-doctor ordered, my friends!! (oh, and "no" I wasn't high on acid .... I must have merely been in the zone?!) ;)

... anyway => at $72 (delivered), I figured that this was a relatively inexpensive 2,300 year old Greek-addition to my wonderful lil' animal menagerie ...

    Lycaonia, Laranda, AR Obol

    Diameter: 10.6 mm
    Weight: 0.4 grams

I see why you like it. I like it for the same reason. Come for wolf stay for Ba'al, It definitely looks like the enthroned Zeus on the reverse of Alex Tets just really tiny.

I'm still trying to figure out Ba'al. In fact I looked at something like this last night on Ebay and I had the same problem making out Ba'al. But, hey, your reverse is outstanding. You and the animal kingdom!

Neat new pickup! We may need paint-over pictorial help from TIF for that Baal.
