Ancient, uneven, lesser-quality coins I have found in a jewelry shop.

    Hello,
Today I visited a jewelry shop which contained several (6) coins that appear to be ancient. These coins were of brown and of a copperish-looking color. They also contained some sort of material (grime, dirt, mold?) that is of a lighter green color. This seems to be from some sort of damage (water, possibly) or just aging of the coins over the years. These coins appear to have several of the same person or of different people on them. The coins are of an uneven circular shape (probably due to the limited tools back then) and are as I can remember about 2 quarters (American) thick. I have included an imgur album of the pictures of the coins. What I would like to know is the origin of these coins, their date of making, and an an approximate price (there probably will not be a set value on them.) Thank you very much, and all feedback/information is appreciated. It should also be noted that there MAY be repeats of the same coins, and the pictures both includes the fronts and backs of coins. This I am sorry for, as I had to hurry to take the pictures.

    Album is here: http://imgur.com/a/Y9dki#0

The coins are Kushan bronzes of various rulers of roughly the 2nd century AD.

Thesy are common in poor condition (like these) but somewhat hard to find in really high grade.

WOW. Amazing how you can find things from about 1800 years ago. Just amazing. I like them for their coolness and will get them anyway but do you know how much they may be worth?

Demand is low for such coins so I'd expect a dealer to sell them for whatever price he considers his lowest to cover the nuisance value of the sale. I've known dealers that sell nothing under $100 but for many that would be $5 each. The group as a lot should go for a discount.

You might get some better ID's comparing to the coins on this site:

I agree with Doug, looks like Vima Kadphasis and other rulers. In that condition they should not go for much. Any light green will be verdigris, (common with these), and will need to be treated. 2 quarters thick would indicate they are tetradrachms, which are worth a little more than the half and quarter units. I would not pay over $30 for all 6 in that condition, but I am cheap. I have bought nicer ones fairly recently for around $10-15 each for tets, and less for the half and quarter units.
