A change to my tiberius for my 12 caesars. One of those "it talked to me" types. Really liked the different patina colors going on and the bolder portrait. Plus all the details are there. Yup, I can hear that coin talkin' to me as well ... I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's sayin' => "send me to Steve's house ... send me to Steve's house"
I have one of these types too and as you can see it is about a tenth of the quality of this one. I couldn't complain though since I think I paid 8 bucks shipped for mine! This is the sellers photo since I am at work (and procrastinating)

rugged but easy on the eyes at the same time,...i made a similar pick up a couple days ago when one like that "talked to me"... and a neato reveres.
Ummm, I also have a fairly "rugged" version of Tiberius ... ahhh, I admit that the condition of the coin may prevent it from being my final 12 Caesar entry, "but" the coin is just so fricken cool that it had to come to stevex6' dojo!!
I can see why this coin spoke to you Mat. For one thing, I haven't seen many of the rudder/globe types for this ruler. In fact, I've only seen a couple examples. Is it rare, or at least scarce? Or perhaps there just aren't many on the market now... I also agree with the eye appeal of the coin. When some of the patina wears off the tops of the devices, it sets them in deeper contrast to the fields and makes for a very attractive coin. I would be happy to own that piece if I was in the market for earlier bronzes. Well-done!
