From what little research I was able to do on the coin...

    Struck 348-350 AD. Thessalonica Mint.
Obverse says; DNCONSTA behind his head, the other part is unreadable to me.
    Reverse says; FEL TEMP REPARATIO

Pardon the poor quality pics, just wanted to give you guys an idea of what coin it is. I promise I'll steal my girlfriends really nice DSLR one of these days. :) So, what's it worth?

Nice research, with the research I'd say around £5-10 possibly.

Have you ever attributed a Roman coin?

Obv legend: DN CONSTANS PF AVG, A behind bust
Rev legend: FEL TEMP REPARATIO; TES in exergue, A to l.

    The TES indicates Thessalonika mint.

You can find more info in the spreadsheet available here:
    http://www.catbikes.ch/coinstuff/coins-ric.htm
Use the FEL TEMP - Other list.

All the ones they have minted under TES are "3 branches on tree ending in one large circular pod each" on the reverse.

I did some googling around and found this...

Thessalonica RIC VIII 122... So now that I know what it is, how does one go about figuring out a value?

EDIT: Apparently Wildwinds doesn't allow hotlinking images, so I saved it and put it on imageshack.

Yup! It looks like the mintmark is TSB or similar. Good work! The only way to really estimate value of ancient coins is to see a lot of them and what they sell for. I'd estimate this at $20-30.

Thanks! I bought it for $7. Found one with the Phoenix, not Victory, that went for ~50 at auction... so I guess it depends on if the Phoenix or Victory is more scarce.

That one is in far better shape than your specimen. Your coin would be worth a fraction of that.

Bet they paid more than $7 for it. ;) I'm all about ROI, not how much it finishes for. Took some better pictures, btw.
