    Is it real or fake? Explain your answer so the ones wanting to learn will see why you hold your position.

    OK, I'll bite.

    I don't recognize the design; I can't identify it.

    The one thing that bothers me about it is the color. It is deteriorated like bronze, but the color is more silvery. I wouldn't expect silver to look so corroded. Therefore I suspect it's a copy cast in a base metal; it looks sort of like there might be some "bubbles" from the casting process, at least on the obverse.
