Ancient Orichalcum Metal Found (Coin Metal)

    Thought this was interesting to share... Supposedly, they made coins out of this cast metal, and it was second only to gold back in the day. Myths shroud it as being originated in Atlantis, which took all of this metal with it when the city submerged... anyway, they found it off the coast of Sicily in a sixth century shipwreck.

    Believe what you wish. I see nothing here I can accept without more information. The word has been used for several different things and these pieces seem to take a bit from here and there without clarifying. Perhaps it is a bit like our history with aluminum which was a precious metal 150 years ago but became available for cooking when we learned how to refine it.
