I think I got this in a lot from Crusty Coins. It was covered with a 1/8 in black junk. Could not get but little bit at a time to come off. After two week and three Dremel brushs I was still not to the coin. About to put in the junk box, maybe if I heat it. It helped a little. A couple of days later started getting to the surface of the coin. Heat, brush, heat, brush a so on and so on. Couple days later started to see details. At first I thought, a head on each side, no that's a Dieaty, cleaned a little more, a upside down head and a Dieaty. Farout, stopped cleaning, went to WildWinds.com IDed it. You can still see the the black stuff still on it, adds class, and I am afraid of damaging the coin. So here's about eight weeks of work. Dupondis I think 14.5 g 29 mm reveres:Head upside down to left. Reveres:head up Obverse:You can see the bottom half of Fides.
Flipover double strikes are interesting but the harsh cleaning has not helped. Maybe it will tone with time.
