I didn't buy any Ancient coins last Month, so i got a hankern' and purchased 3 from vcoins so far this month. A member ( Martin) posted a Ancient retired coin of i think Diocletian, maybe Galerius, well i went searching for one and came up Maximianus..after 3 weeks wait.. Also after all the photo setups, i've changed mine up too...what do you think..???? Maximianus..306 - 308..AD.. AE Follis.. Ob.Laureate cuirassed bust right. DNMAXIMIANO (PSF) AVG. Rev. Genio standing left, holding patera and cornucopia, Modius on head.. Mint..PLN..London.. 28mm x 6.28g.
Very nice indeed. I like the retired series and have a real liking for the London mint, this coin combining the two scores on both.
Thanks Martin, its kind of a threefer it was 15 % off too..I also pickup a Diocletian Fel kart, ill post later...
very nice ENG, good details and i like the color. looks like like maximianus is wide awake ...must have just had a cup of coffee.
Thanks for the comments, still working on the back ground color, sheet of white paper, which looks purple or lavender to me..
If your camera is reading a white sheet of paper as pink, you need to adjust the white balance. Most cameras have different settings for incandescent light, fluorescent, daylight, cloudy, etc. Some cameras allow you to manually set the white balance by taking a shot of something white under your intended lighting. The camera then sets that image as the default white. If your camera is reading white as pink, that also means there's too much red in your image, and the coin is not the same color as real life. I took some of the red out of this image, then used a paint bucket tool to get a completely white background...
