Why I believe I do have a few coins of Ionia Here are a few Klazomenai pigasus issues from around 500 BC. The first two are diobols, 9 mm and 10 mm. The left flying boar appears to be unpublished in this denomination. The third is a drachm (15mm). Looking for a didrachm but man, that's some expensive pork!
And a few more from Klazomenai. This one is a very slow flyer, still waiting, waiting, waiting... Bought it four weeks ago, should arrive soon and I'll re-do the pictures. IONIA, Klazomenai. 190-130 BC. 16 mm, 5.9 gm Obv: forepart of winged boar right, Obv: forepart of winged boar right, ΣΙΜ-Ω-Ν Rev: ΚΛΑ-ZΟ-ΜΕΝΙ-ΩΝ in cross-divided square, monogram to left. Ref: SNG Cop 96, rare And these oddballs from Klazomenai, still looking for the references. IONIA, Klazomenai 4th century BC AE10.7, 1.53 gm. Obv: head of Athena right Rev: ram lying left, winged boarabove, phi-ANOK Ref: Not in literature consulted. (same general description as above, not sure of the legends or other letters)
One more which still hasn't arrived. It was a good find and hammered for a decent price, considering. These get pretty crazy at auction. Seller's picture, looking forward to shooting my own! IONIA, Samos. 510-500 BC AR drachm, 3.12 gm Obv: winged boar flying left Rev: lion scalp facing in dotted square within incuse square Ref: SNG Copenhagen 1673
