Your coins 3, 5, and 6 belong to the class of coins usually referred to as “Gadhaiya Paisa.” Forum member @dougsmit has a very informative website on these, and you should be able to learn more about your coins reading it.

Most of your other coins look like “jitals." Not all of them have to be ancient. Your best chance to identify them is Robert Tye's catalogue, the most important part of which you can download here.

No Jitals here. Most are Islamic northern Indian Paisa.
Nr 9 looks like a Paisa issued under the Sultans of Kashmir.

To follow on Shaun 111; I need some help on this one. Any help would be appreciated. Could these be same era? I have no lit on these. Jitals yes, but not these. Picked up out of a junk box for .25. One of Shaun's looked similar. 18 x 15mm, the box photoed in is 1 inch sq.

Image 1 looks like an elephant, image 2 script. Are my eyes playing tricks?
    Happy week end everyone.

I agree, it looks like an elephant. No idea what that coin is though. Here is a site I use to help me identify ancient Indian coins:

The elephant specimen is a Pandya coin from the Sangam period.

Those are interesting Gadhaiya. Any chance you can get the blue stuff off the first one? The front ribbon is misplaced - it shouldn't be curling down like that in front of the lips. I wonder if there is a fire altar beneath the blue, or if it could be a Somalladevi.

Second two are odd because I have never seen one that has one side so obliterated. The pictures aren't very focused... are they incuse, or encrusted?

Googled Sangam age Pandaya that advertised a book but gave a wonderful article on this era that stretched down to Sri Lanka. Happy to have the coin in my Indian/ Srilankan collection. Thanks again.
