    I do not believe so since the inscription seems to indicate Severus Alexander...a previous Emperor before Gordian...nice portrait and very decent reverse...almost all the abbreviated latin inscriptions can be read...You might buy a book titled "Ancient Greek and Roman Coins' by Zander Klawans---it used to cost about $14.00 but may be closer to $20 today.....
