Finally decided to post my Gordian III denarius ive had for over 2 months now. I wanted the denomination and for $22 and the heavy weight for a denarius of him, I couldnt pass it up.

In time I would like to get a Drachm of his.

Nice coin. I need to obtain more coins of Gordian III. I keep ignoring him when I look and I really cannot account for the why of it.

Probably like me, roaches. Common as dirt and hard to pay some of the asking prices on them. But I liked the portrait and weight.

That's heavy, brother Mat!! (great new pick-up)

    Sadly, I don't have a Gordian III denarius ... I only have a typical run-of-the-mill, antoninianus (*sigh*)

=> by the way, Maximinus I (Thrax) is my most recent denarius (235-236 AD) ... after that, all I have is a sea of antoninanii ...

so again => congrats on your cool Gordian III "denarius"
