Ever since I started collecting, I wondered why Tetradrachms sold for multiples of the prices realised for drachms and fractional drachms, even when the excellence of the art and engraving on a smaller silver coin equalled or excelled tetradrachms in the same sale. When I was younger, I thought it was a case of "bigger is better." Now I'm older, I realize collectors are bidding more for coins they can see!
