Latest addition is a Caracalla I got in a trade from Curtis Clay for that Emesa Severus that was posted awhile ago.

    Great silver & heavy too!

Looks like a darn nice denarius, Mat. I believe it was struck in 207AD

Nope, it was 206 AD. :)

It's a nice denarius though & because of this, I need a teen portrait of Geta .

You mean something like this??? Let me know when you have another Emesa rarity to trade. Teen portraits as Caesar are harder to find than the younger coins. What is really hard to find is a teen Caracalla where he doesn't have a blank stare, empty expression or awkward look. Part of this is the boy and part may be that the workmanship of the mint overall was less good in the mid-200's.

I'm not an Indian giver, but I have been a little remorseful about it.

I also like this oldest of the youth period with the sideburns. They are not as easy to find as the kids or snarling adult coins. My only one has a poor reverse but I liked the portrait enought to buy it anyway.
