ancient atamp ring

    Hello
    I found this ring but don't know to which age it belongs.
    when i stamp it on a aluminium foil it shows a different picture than the original.
    does any one have any idea about this ring.
    I appreciate the help.

    My guess would be that if it is authentic, it'd be a Roman bronze ring. Can you get more pics of the ring?

    Appears to be some sort of seal ring with the figure of an angel (or at least a winged figure) holding a spear cut incise into it. A ring of this sort would be used for impressing in a wax drop on a document to either seal it closed or as a form of "signature". In the case of a sealed closed document the emblem idicated who sealed it and if it was opened or tampered with along the way the wax seal would be broken and even if resealed would not have the proper emblem impressed into it.
