I got these from a friend when I first started collecting. (2-3 months ago.) I got them for free. What are they? Where are they from? Are they ancient? What are they worth? All information is needed because I would Like to put them in my foreign coin book! Thanks!

    Look like modern reproductions.

These two are authentic to me and I don't spot any suspicious point.
Both are one-cash coin of Ching Dynasty of China.
The first one is named as Dao Guang Tong Bao, issue by Emperor Xuan Zong in 1821-1850.
The sencond one is named as Qian Long Tong Bao, issued by Emperor Gao Zong in 1736-1795.
The Manchu characters on the reverse are the mint mark.

Why did you think they may be modern repos? Just curious.

The shiny one looks just like the ones I would buy in souvenir sets back in the mid 1980's. I figured if one was fake and they came together then the beat up one was probably a fake. I still think the shiny one is fake.
