Picked this up at my coin club meeting last night....haven't bought much lately... Steve should love this one, Mama and calf and grapes for little vino.. Apollonia...229- 100...BC.. AR...Drachm. Ob.Cow standing right looking back at sucking calf..grapevine and leaf in EX... Rev.Greek word....around square, containing double stellate pattern..( awesome blue and gold hue) 19mm x 3.34g. This might be upside down, no match on wildwinds..
that's a nice drachm, very pretty ...is "toning" the right word here? i think the reverse need to be rotated 90 degress to the right?
Awesome coin, Halibut!! ... super pick-up, my good friend!! => yah, I have one as well, but it's not as well-centered as yours!!
Hi Eng ... hey, looks like you might be correct? Your new coin is similar to my "error-coin" from the other thread ... cool Hopefully Batman pipes-up and says "how odd to have two rare coins back-to-back" ... congrats Eng (awesome pick-up)
Yes, apparently it is the same issue as Steve's (Ceka 193)... Missing the corn-ear at right but just a striking flaw I guess ?? There is one on wilwinds, none on CNG (except this one) or acsearch from what I saw
Thank you Dionysos and thanks for the comments, i went on wildwinds, i counted 5 examples facing right, one of which was a fake, but i didn't see Ceka 193 there or a number that high..
