Over on the CoinCommunity message board one of the members there posted his results on a problem with the new holders. ANACS claims that they have fixed the first original problem. HERE IS THE LINK I am now re-thinking my original thought to send some of my 20th Anniversary Silver sets to be graded and encapsulated by them. I really like the new holder but if cracking out can be so easy to do, I think I'll pass. IGC might just get them instead.
ANACS used to be my favorite TPG, but since the introduction of the new holder, I have seen their slabs lose more and more acceptance in the marketplace. For me, it has gotten to the point that I only use them for VAM's and the rest of my coins go to PCGS. Its really a shame IMO. I think that they have tightened their grading on classics since the "new day at ANACS", but all of the questions surrounding the integrity of the new holders is really hurting resale value.
