For those of you who are already subscribed to ANAC's Insiders Specials, they have extended their Jan. special to the end of Feb. and are including nickels and halves and all U.S. coins valued at $500.00 or less. $10.00 per coin plus shipping plus attribution fees and photos if needed by you. I just thought you might like to know. If you use this, why not post what you are sending out and we can continue this thread later when you receive your coins back and see what your grades came to vs. what you thought they might be? Could be very interesting! Edit-10 coin minimum.
I'm not sure, it is $10 a coin?? Not bad, but I will have to think about it. I have never sent out a coin before.
Well, not for free, just the fees I stated above, which can be a significant savings if you are doing a lot of coins in one shot. I usually wait for this one to do my better errors. Most of the coins other than that are pretty well done for now.
Right now I'm putting together a lot of 2009P FY Lincolns including WDDR-002, WDDR-006, WDDR-043 and WDDR-054's for submission. All found in my bank sealed box I'm searching.
So can I mix small denomination gold with my other denominations? Or does the submission all have to match?
ALL U.S. coins mixed or not. So long as your declared value on the submission form does not exceed $500.00 each coin.
So can I declare my Double Eagle a value of $499? Hahaha. They would probably catch that and charge me full price. But if I have a coin that is borderline, should I take a chance and undervalue it? So many times the declared value lies solely on the grade.
No, I would not take that chance. Although FedEx is usually secure, you might be tempting fate. Planes have gone down. In fact a UPS plane recently went down but pretty much safely. They would probably accept the coin under valued but at your risk.
