I was reading through this month's Numismatist when I came upon the info for the summer seminars. I've read up on these before and they sound like a great educational opportunity.

There is a course or 2 that piqued my interest but I'm not sure if I'd be able to get away to attend. Being a stay-at-home Mom makes the scheduling a bit difficult since my husband travels a lot and Joe wouldn't be old enough to go with me for a YN session.

Has anyone here ever gone to one? I would appreciate hearing your impressions on the curriculum and overall review. Is anyone planning on attending this summer?

I can't attend either because of the kids, and it's a little far for me anyway. I have looked into their correspondence courses, though, and have every intention of starting them at the end of this year. I have heard nothing but good things about the ANA's education program.

While the seminars would be great - you can take the same course by correspondence without ever leaving your home ;)

It is true that the correspondence courses are what they say they are, but it doesn't beat the actual attendance of one of their sessions. The few times I have taken advantage of this program, has been nothing but a great experience. Very educational, you won't go to sleep in one of these classes.
