I have been considering purchasing some of the ANA correspondence courses. I believe they could be useful in assisting me in my grading skills. Has anyone started or completed any of these courses? Were they helpful and worth the cost in time and money?

    Thanks

I've wanted to for sometime....but I've also called and talked to the ANA and to do the course you have to pay it all at once...you can't do one course now and another one later.....so for now I'm just reading as many books as I can and such....I think it would be great---but I think many great coin collectors also learned without such a course ;)

If you take it let me know what you think....I only know one other guy that took it and he loved it!

Are you sure you have to take all the courses? They sell them individually.

I could understand that if you enrolled in their Numismatics Diploma Program which right now is $399.00 for members.

Yes...I was thinking of the Diploma program...that is what I was looking at.

I believe I am going to enroll in the Diploma program. Although that is a chunk of change I have spend that much on a single coin before. I will let you know how it turns out.
    Thanks
