This was an interesting roll of half dollars I received from the bank today. After approx. 30 rolls or so of CWR half dollars I finally hit a few silvers. What makes this different is the Christopher Columbus coin in the roll which I have no idea existed till now. Also to all you newbie roll hunters, do not disregard any dark rims when you roll hunt. They could be silvers. These 2 were in this roll. ST
Great find! Columbian halves are some of the most common and therefore least expensive of the classic commemorative halves, but that is a truly exceptional find from a CRH standpoint.
I've always wanted to buy one of those for my collection (columbian half), but I always see people find them in rolls. Congrats on the find, saves you the money from buying your own!
At some point in the last 8 years, while searching, I've found a Columbus too. and just to toot my own horn, I've also scored a Washington 250th B-day, A Booker T. Washington, and 2 Stone Mountains. Ah, the neat treasures we find.
