I came across this article through an email notice that I received a few days ago. This is an old (2012) article that I am sure some have read before, but I'm providing a link for those who have not.

Minting of coinage in Jerusalem during the Persian and Hellenistic periods (English)

Additionally, another old article (2013) was brought to my attention. This article, by John H. Kroll, covers a little known period of coinage in Athens during the third century BCE.

On the chronology of third-century BC Athenian silver coinage, RBN 104 (2013).

There's some interesting reading here, a good way to spend some time while the winter storm passes.
