Yes.. Die Break known as a Die Chip As Stated.. BIE Here is some information - http://www.lincolncentresource.com/FAQ/BIE.html And http://cuds-on-coins.com/lincoln-cent-bies/
A lot of them occurred in the 1950's But can be found on any year Here are 3 BIE's from 1994 I found -
And here is a thread I created recently https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1c-1-bie-2-bie-3-bie-some-neat-bies.328396/ It's not really a letter I.. Just a Die Break
You'll get a small premium for it. I've sold a couple for $3. I'm saving them all now, trying to put together a whole roll of them to sell.
When I need some BIER, I go down to the distributor and buy a case. Slowly working down a case of 7 ounce Heinekens right now. One is just right at halftime of a football game for a guy with a complicated medical situation.
Do you think it is too early to discuss this? Some incoming freshmen might might be interested in the different examples available for collecting...... http://cuds-on-coins.com/hardy-index-system/
It's Commador Perry's IPA for me this evening, if you've never tried I do recommend. I find it Helps steady the hand after 2 or 3,000 coins.
Bier "a movable frame on which a coffin or a corpse is placed before burial or cremation or on which it is carried to the grave." What have you been up to?
Going cross-eyed looking wheat pennies. Scored pretty big, quantity wise that is, mostly 40s and 50s unfortunately but found a few cool varieties
I used to think the same about the 40-50 wheats. Its only been recently that the results of K.Potter, M.Diamond and others have proven finds as complex as the 1942-D/D 1c RPM#11 D/D North. Rare! Rated a URS-1/Unique by Wiles (and as a URS-O/None known in mint state) have been accepted. I am rifling through all of my "worthless wheats" and have found quite a few examples already. Like 1956-D&S 1c Dual Mint Mark Wexler-DMM-001 ("old" Wexler-OMM#2), FS-01-1956D-511 (new Fivaz/Stanton Numbering system format) and the 1955-D/D/D 1c RPM#3, FS#1c-021.94.
