It always excites me when I find a military trade token that is unlisted in the standard reference (for those who don't know, it's "Military Tokens of the United States" by Paul Cunningham). Today I made a random search on eBay just trying to see if anything I can't live without might be listed..and I scored! Whenever I find an unlisted token I give it my own Cunningham number, trying my best to fit it into his series. This is easy to do and Cunningham numbered his catalog in such a way for this very reason. I also use italics to ease in my own identification. The above token is AZ131. It's likely around 32mm, aluminum, and probably blue. Below is my only other Davis-Monthan AFB token: AZ120e, aluminum, 34mm, possibly from 1961 That picture is just awful and I'm almost embarrassed to post it...but then I think of some of the other pictures I've looked at here and don't feel so bad! Later when I reshoot it I'll post a little history on the Air Force's graveyard.
