America's First Medals -- Good Buy?

    For anybody who knows medals, I know these are reproductions but I really like their look and history and I got them for $20. I know that new the set was $55 in 1973-76. I like them and I think I did well, but I was just curious what you folks thought. Here's a photo:

    You did marvelously well. I've seen these go (in that packaging) for a lot more than $20. I love the series and collected it back in 1976 when the mint first offered it. Really sad that the set was never culminated with the libertas medal.....

    You did good! I paid $25 for my set about 5 years ago.

    I had a set. Sold it on eBay in 2004.
    I liked them. Pewter if I recall.
    Very pleasing looking.
    My set sold for $14.66, and with all things considered, I believe you did quite well.
